Himachal Pradesh State Red Cross Hospital Welfare Section, Shimla

The organisation is affiliated to the Indian Red Cross Society, Himachal State Branch Shimla.

Aims & Objectives of Hospital Welfare Section:

1. To undertake Hospital Welfare works in general.
2. To supply medicines, food and clothing, books and other amenities for patients in hospitals, health centres, tuberculosis clinics, etc.
3. To organise work parties, prepare hospital clothing, knit garments, collect gifts, and perform other jobs to promote the objectives of the Hospital Welfare Section.
4. To organise Hospital Welfare work in suburbs, tehsils, labour colonies, mohallas, and villages.
5. To organise periodical visits to hospitals, health centers, tuberculosis hospitals, trained dais centers, and Shishu Kalyan Kendra.
6. To organise groups to visit villages/urban areas for promoting family planning work and encouraging children suffering from malnutrition diseases to get medical attention.
7. To organise groups of volunteers for donating blood.
8. To accord assistance to the Red Cross Society and institutions with similar objectives.
9. To raise funds by enrolling members, seeking donations from government institutions and individuals, and holding fetes for the Hospital Welfare Section.
