(A) Procurement of Sheep Wool 

One of the major functions of the Wool Federation is the procurement of sheep and angora wool at remunerative prices.

* The procurement of wool was put on hold since December 2022 as per Govt. orders.

** The wool procurement resumed w.e.f. 28.06.2024 as per Govt. orders.

(B) Marketing of Wool 

The Federation is actively engaged in the marketing of sheep and angora wool. The turnover since 2020-21 is given as under:

(D) Supplies of Veterinary Equipment, Medicines and Animal Feed Ration 

As per the State Government policy, the Federation is facilitating the procurement of Veterinary equipment, medicines and Animal Feed Ration for the Animal Husbandry Department H.P. Further the Govt. has also assigned the work of facilitating the procurement of livestock and poultry under various schemes of AHD and the Federation. In the activity, as per the approval of the government, the Federation gets 5% as handling charges from the suppliers i.e. approved tenders. The activity has strengthened the financial base of the Federation since the losses on account of promotional activities are set off against the profit in this activity.
