Operations of Himachal Pradesh Home Guards Department
During the year 2024-25, Home Guard volunteers were deployed with Police for maintenance of law & order and other duties such as traffic and patrolling, guarding of vital installations, manning of Government treasuries/ sub-treasuries, maintenance of law and order during fairs and festivals and security duties at temples and zonal hospitals. In addition to this women Home Guards volunteers were deployed for nursing duties in the hospitals. Male Home Guards who have undergone Fire Prevention Course were deployed at Fire Stations to supplement the strength of fire staff.
DEPLOYMENT OF HOME GUARDS FOR ROUTINE & OPERATIONAL DUTIES
The details regarding the deployment of Home Guards during the Financial Year 2024-2025, are as under:-
