As part of their professional training programme, a group of ten Nagaland Civil Service Probationers of 2005 batch have visited this Institute from 10th November to 13th November, 2006. During their stay in the Institute, a series of lectures were organized for their benefit to apprise them of the progress made by the State of Himachal Pradesh in the fields of Tourism, Horticulture and Power Sector. They also interacted with the participants of Foundational Course
Currently in progress in the Institute and shared their views on a variety of subjects including governance and development. Besides Shimla city, they also visited Naldehra Golf Club and Regional Horticulture Research Station, Mashobra to gain first-hand knowledge of the activities at these places
