A programme on Training of   Elected Representatives of Zila Parishad,  Kangra District was organised at the Institute w.e.f.  13.11.2006 to 17.11.2006. Chairman, Vice Chairperson and 35 other members from  Zila Parishad Kangra  attended the programme.

Apart from H.P. Panchayati Raj Act and Rules, the content of training the included subjects like Democratic Decentralization, Resource Mobilisation for Local Self Govt., Social Audit, Good Governance, Gender and Development, Human Rights, Right to Information, Consumer Protection, Official – Non Official Relationship etc. Exposure to important schemes like NREGA, Swajaldhara, SGSY also was included in the programme.
