Quality Enhancement Initiative Cell

Learning Links Foundation (LLF) has been working with the Himachal Pradesh government since 2012, to strengthen the curriculum and evaluation procedure in Himachal Pradesh. This endeavour has transacted into creation of Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) framework which seeks to achieve an increase in the student learning outcome from class 1 to 8.

Quality Enhancement Initiative Cell (QEIC)

In order to facilitate government decisions based on academic performance of students across all elementary schools of the state a dedicated Quality Enhancement Initiative Cell (QEIC) has been established.  This cell works on improving quality, in finally improving Student Learning Outcomes. QEIC is housed in Education Dept. As a cell, QEIC comprised of government officials and LLF resources; and is housed in the Department of Elementary Education, Himachal Pradesh. QEIC have access to the best of knowledge from government experts and be driven by their rich understanding of the socio-cultural fabric of Himachal Pradesh. LLF to support the QEIC through its on-field support in developing a roadmap to implement QEIC recommendations and bring a systemic change to improve student learning across the state

Journey So far…of QEIC:

•      Situational analysis conducted across  the state and gap areas shared with Principal Secretary, Education

•      QEIC is operating from the premises of Directorate of Elementary Education

•      Work stream champions have been appointed to QEIC by the government

•      Discussions are ongoing on the possible solutions to bridge the gaps identified during the situational analysis

•      Solutions to be implemented over the next two years i.e. till March 2018
