iv) Administration of Police Department and Civil Armed Battalions
v) Administration of Vigilance, Home Guards and Civil Defense, Fire Services, Forensic Science Laboratory and Prison Departments
vi) Establishment of Lokayukta and Human Rights Commission
vii) Grant of Arms Licenses and matters related to arms dealer licences
viii) Grant of permits for plying vehicles on sealed/restricted routes in Shimla Town
ix) Issues related to Visa, Inner-line permits, NORI, Citizenship etc.
