The institute organised A One day Sensitization Workshop on Gender Issues in collaboration with UNDP, Planning Commission and the Planning Department on 12th June, 2007 which was inaugurated by Sh. S.S. Parmar, Chief Secretary, Himachal Pradesh.
Sh. R. Sridharan, Joint Secretary, Planning Commission,GoI; Sh Bhim Sen, Pr. Secy.SJE; Ms. Anuradha Thakur, Director, SJE HP; Sh. Arvind Mehta, Secretary Finance, HP; Sh. DK Sharma, Pr. Adviser Planning; Dr. Rizwana from NIRD, Hyderabad and Ms. Usha Bande were among the distinguished Resource Persons. Secretaries / Heads of Departments, Senior Officers, Academicians and representatives of media attended the workshop.
The objective of the workshop was to sensitize the senior officers of the Government of Himachal Pradesh towards Gender Issues and the rationale behind accepting Gender Development as a goal
