Privacy Policy – “myGPF” Mobile App

National Informatics Centre, Himachal Pradesh has developed the “myGPF” Mobile App for Accountant General (A&E), Himachal Pradesh. The myGPF App provides the facility for Himachal Pradesh Government employees to view various reports related to General Provident Fund (GPF). An employee can view GPF balance as on date, Annual GPF statement (last five year), missing credit detail (if any), GPF guidelines, Last GPF statement (PDF). The information once accessed through this app is also stored on the local device and can be accessed for all future references without internet connectivity. The app is available on Play Store free of cost.

Permission used by this App:

• Internet: The app uses internet connection and gather information about device’s network availability to fetch the data.
• Network State: The app has read only access to phone state, including the current cellular network information and Wi-Fi Network.
• External Storage: The app uses the external storage permission to manage access to documents, usually as part of a document picker, to save the GPF statement as PDF on the device.

Data Retention Policy, Managing Your Information

The app does not capture any user information. User needs to enter Series Code, GPF Number

and PIN. The entered information is used to fetch data only and is not saved through this app. The local app settings can be changed or removed by the user as per requirement. So as no data is captured by the app so do not need any Data Retention or Management Policy.

Misuse by Non-Targeted Users

Mobile App is meant for use by the targeted audience only. Misuse by non-targeted users should be prevented by owner of the mobile device.

Changes

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time to include or deleted any content as per latest requirements. You are advised to consult this Privacy Policy regularly for any changes, as continued use is deemed approval of all changes.
