Privacy Policy – “Himachal Covid Care” Mobile App

National Informatics Centre, Himachal Pradesh has developed the “Himachal Covid Care” Mobile App for the Health Department/National Health Mission, Himachal Pradesh. This mobile app bring close all the essentials users like Patient, Area Doctor, CMO, BMO etc. The App enables COVID19 patients to self-register themselves and provide their vital symptoms to assigned doctors. The app is available on Play Store free of cost.

Permission used by this App:

• Internet: The app uses internet connection of user’s device to fetch the data.
• External Storage: The app uses the external storage permission to manage access to documents, usually as part of a document picker, to upload the image from the device.
• Network State: - The app has read only access to phone state, including the current cellular network information and Wi-Fi Network. 

Data Retention Policy, Managing Your Information

The app captures mobile number, name, age, gender, address and other details provided by the user. The Department will retain user provided data. This information can be used by concerned Department only. The local app settings can be changed or removed by the user as per requirement.

Misuse by Non Targeted Users

Mobile App is meant for use by the targeted audience only. Misuse by non-targeted users should be prevented by owner of the mobile device.

Changes

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time to include or deleted any content as per latest requirements. You are advised to consult this Privacy Policy regularly for any changes, as continued use is deemed approval of all changes.
