HP State Environment Protection & Pollution Control Board
Applications
are invited for the following posts purely on Contractual basis under the
Ministry of Environment & Forests, Govt. of India funded Spatial
Environmental Planning Program in Himachal Pradesh State Environment Protection
& Pollution Control Board, Shimla.
1.
Project Engineer, Number of Posts: One
Scale of Pay: Rs. 7,880-13,500/- (with a start of Rs. 8,000/- entry scale), Age:
between 18 to 40 years. Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s
Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent in 1st class and Post
Graduate Degree in city planning or environmental planning or urban planning or
regional planning or equivalent in 1st class from a recognized
university or institution. Knowledge of Computers, GIS and good writing and
communication skills are essential. Experience in preparing environmental plans
and executing such projects and experience in using GIS software is essential.
2.
Jr. Research Fellow: Number of Posts:
One
Pay:
Consolidated Salary of Rs. 8000/- per month plus HRA, Medical Reimbursement as
admissible. Age: between 18 to 40 years. Educational Qualification:
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent in 1st class
or Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture in 1st class or Post Graduate
Degree in science or geography or sociology or economics or equivalent in 1st
class followed by a degree in city planning or environmental planning or urban
planning or regional planning or equivalent in 1st class from a
recognized university or institution. Working knowledge of word processing and
presentation software is essential and experience in using GIS software is
desirable.
3.
Data Entry Operator, Number of Posts: One
Pay:
Consolidated Salary of Rs. 4,000/- per month plus DA and Medical Reimbursement
as admissible as per MOEF Rules. Age: between 18 to 40 years, Educational
Qualification: 12th standard pass or equivalent from a
recognized Board/University, should posses a speed of not less than 8000 key
depressions per hour for Data Entry Work.
The engagement would be purely on contractual basis
initially for a period of one year subject to renewal based upon the assessment/
review of performance and will not claim for absorption permanently in the State
Board. The selected candidates would be required to give an affidavit stating
that he/she would not claim absorption in the State Board. The said project is
up to March 2007 or may extend further.

certificate/testimonial in respect of qualification, age and experience
should be attached with the application.
General
Conditions: The State Board can restrict the number of candidates to be
called for the interview on the basis of qualification and experience as
prescribed in the Advertisement by screening of applications. The decision of
the Chairman, H.P. State Environment Protection & Pollution Control Board
will be final in all the matters concerning to this recruitment.

class or Post Graduate Degree in Science disciplines in 1st class
from a recognized university or institution. Working knowledge of word
processing and presentation software is essential and experience in
environmental planning and use of GIS software is desirable.
The
posts are proposed to be filled-up for a period of two years under MOEF funded
project viz. “Environmental Mapping of Satluj Catchment in Himachal
Pradesh”. The engagement would be purely on contractual basis initially for a
period of one year subject to renewal based upon the assessment/ review of
performance and will not claim for absorption permanently in the State Board.
The selected candidates would be required to give an affidavit stating that
he/she would not claim absorption in the State Board.
