Applications are invited
from the persons of eminence in the field of Biotechnology for appointment as
Senior Scientific Advisor in the Department of Biotechnology in the pay scale of
Rs. 22400-525-24500 (emoluments in case of very deserving candidates from the
private sector/autonomous bodies who are already drawing higher salary, can be
fixed by negotiation subject to approval of the State Government). The post
shall be filled up on tenure basis for three years which may be extended by the
Government by another tenure or till the age of 60 years whichever is earlier.
Eligibility:
A person of eminence with
age less than 55 years and minimum 20 years of research experience in
Biotechnology or related field with Ph.D. in Plant/Animal/Medical
Sciences/Biotechnology/Microbiology/Biochemistry.

1. Salary: The
candidate shall be appointed in the pay scale of Rs. 22,400-525-24,500/- plus
other allowances admissible to the officers of the same class in the Govt. Pay
fixation shall be governed by the prevailing Govt. rules and instructions
(Emoluments in case of very deserving candidates from the private
sector/autonomous bodies, who are already drawing higher salary, can be fixed by
negotiation subject to approval of the State Government ).
2.
Tenure: The appointment to the post shall be for tenure of three
years which can be extended by another period of three years or upto the age of
60 years of the incumbent whichever is earlier. However the Govt. can terminate
the appointment even before the expiry of the tenure of three years by serving a
notice of one month in advance or paying one month’s salary in lieu of notice
of one month, in case the conduct and performance of the incumbent is not found
satisfactory or of the Govt. decides to fill the post by regular appointment as
the case may be.
3. Leave:
The
candidate shall be entitled to leave as per CCS (Leave) Rules, 1972.
4.
TA/DA:
He
shall be entitled to TA/DA as admissible to the Class-I officers of the State
Government under the relevant Rules.
5.
Medical facility:
He
shall be entitled to avail medical facilities and grant of reimbursement of
medical expenses as admissible to Class-I officers of the State Govt.
6.
Residential Accommodation:
He shall be entitled to Govt. accommodation as per rules, subject to
availability, otherwise, he will be entitled to receive House Rent Allowance as
per State Govt. Rules and Instructions in this regard.
7. GPF/CPF:
As
per Govt. rules applicable in the case.
8.
Leave salary and Pension Contribution: As
per Govt. rules applicable in the case.
