Educational
Qualification: for the posts of Professors:-
(i)
A recognised medical qualification included in the
first or second schedule or part-II of the third schedule( other than
licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 .
Holders of educational qualification included in part –II of the
III. schedule should also fulfil the conditions stipulated in sub
section(3) of section(13) of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
(ii)
A post graduate degree in concerned speciality or its
equivalent qualifications. i.e.:

M.D.(Tuberculosis)M.D.,M.R.C.P. in Medicine with T.D.D., D.T.D.
or D.T.C.D. (Part-B

Item(C)2: M.D.(Psychiatry),

Neurology(.U.S.A.), M.D./M.R.C.P. in Medicine with Diploma in
Psychological Medicine.

M.D., M.Sc., Ph.D. or D.Sc. (Microbiology) ,M.D.,M.Sc.,Ph.D.,D.Sc.
(Bact.),M.D.(Microbiology with Pathology), M.D.(Pathology &
Bacteriology).
(iii)
At least 04
years teaching experience as Associate Professor in
the concerned speciality failing which an Associate Professor having
07 years teaching experience as Associate Professor and Assistant
Professor combined in the concerned speciality. However, in all cases
the incumbent shall have minimum 10 years teaching experience after
post graduation.
Educational
Qualification: for the posts of Associate Professors :
(i): A

(iii) At
least 05 years teaching experience as Assistant Professor in
the concerned speciality failing which an Assistant
Professor having 06 years teaching experience as Assistant
Professor and Lecturer combined in the concerned speciality
after post graduation. However, in all cases the incumbent should
possess at least 05 years
teaching experience after post graduation in the concerned speciality.

fighters of H.P. For Govt. employees and Ex-servicemen relaxation is as per
Government instructions.
OTHER TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR THE ABOVE POST(S) OF VARIOUS DEPARTMENTS :-
1.DESIRABLE QUALIFICATION COMMON FOR ALL THE POSTS:-
(i)
Knowledge
of customs , manners and dialects of Himachal Pradesh and suitability for
appointment in the peculiar conditions prevailing in the Pradesh. (ii) (for
item-C only) Publication of research papers in Index Journals.
2.
Fee in shape of Bank draft for Rs.
150/-(Rs.38/- for SC/ST/OBC of H.P. only), must accompany the applications ,
payable at Shimla to the Secretary ,HPPSC, Nigam Vihar , Shimla-171002 (HP).
Ex-servicemen until and unless discharged at their own request before
completion of normal tenure are exempted from payment of application fee.
Visually handicapped candidates are exempted from payment of application
fee.
3.
Category once claimed in the application form will not be changed
later on .
4.
Number
of post(s) are tentative and may increase or decrease for different
categories of candidates.
5.
Candidates will be called for interview based on merit in the
screening test in cases where number of eligible candidates for the post(s)
is inordinately large , the Commission may restrict candidates to be called
for interview on the basis of higher qualification / experience or higher
merit in qualifying degree certificate or by subjecting all eligible
candidates to a screening test.
6.
The candidates belonging to reserve categories (except Scheduled
Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Ward of Freedom Fighter) are required to give
with their application a self declaration format of which is given at the
end of application form in support of their claim for such a category.
However, category certificates will be produced by them at the time of
viva-voce.
7.
Attested copies of testimonials /
documents in support of age/ date of birth, category to which he / she
belongs as applicable, educational qualification and experience must be
enclosed with the application. Incomplete applications will be rejected
straightway. Separate application will have to be sent for each category
of post(s). In service candidates may apply to the Commission with requisite
fee and documents as advance copy, with the information to his / her Head of
Department / Office for issuing
NOC.
- The
decision of the Commission as to the eligibility or otherwise of a
candidate for admission to interview or selection will be final and no
correspondence / personal enquiries will be entertained. The Commission
will not be responsible for any delay in receipt of applications, due to
any reasons whatsoever.
Note
(i): The candidates must attach self addressed post card
with application as acknowledgement , indicating the name of post ,date of
despatch and Bank Draft No.

(ii): SC /ST certificates must be on parental basis of H.P. and
OBC of H.P.only.
Note
(iii):The
candidates belonging to Himachal Pradesh will only be considered against the
posts reserved for Ex-servicemen.
Note
(iv): 1.Re-checking
/ re-evaluation if any , will
not be allowed in any case.
2.Experience,
if any , will be counted after obtaining E.Q. for the post.
3.Disputes, if any , shall be
subject to Court jurisdiction at Shimla.
